SEABURN top the table in the Crosby & District Sunday Football league after a close 2-1 win over Altway Valentine thanks to goals from Mike Joyce and Chris Tyson, with Jamie Chadwick scoring for Altway.

The top clash of the day saw North Mersey Zoom take all three points in a 4-3 win over Champions Saltbox, with Jim McShane scoring two goals and one each from Peter Tobin and Jon Gladwell after Neil Parker and Jamie Rounford had scored for the Saltbox.

A hat-trick each from Francis Woolvine and Mike Armstrong helped Queens to a 7-2 win at Daniel.

Cabbage recorded their first points with a 5-0 win over Arriva Bus, with Mike Vernon scoring a hat-trick and Steve Sumner grabbing two goals.

The Maggies won 3-1 at home to Eldonian Village with Chris Parkes scoring two, while enbeaten Frank Armitt lead Division One following a 5-2 win at the Vic thanks to goals from Mark Clarkson, Joe Findley, Craig Marley and two from Steve Neild.

Second placed St William of York recorded a 4-1 home win over Spotmix, with Garry Weaver scoring two and one each for Elliot Murphy and James Milton.

Sefton Arms have started well and remain in third place after a 4-2 win over Benos, with Chris Lacey scoring two plus one each for Mike Cribley and Gareth Walters. A Mark Bayliss goal gave Linacre Athletic all three points at Cedar Vale, while fourth placed Tanners United won by the odd goal in seven against Forefield Rangers with Paul and Carl Porter scoring two each.
