THOUSANDS of people flocked to Crosby beach for the nativity play 'Christmas in Another Place.'
With Antony Gormley's 'Iron Men' as a backdrop, the beach was graced by a real life camel, donkey and a flock of sheep for the 45-minute play.
The cast included Liz and Paul Masterson of Coronation Drive, Crosby, with their two-week old baby son George. The family trio played Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.
Around 5,000 people attended the four performances and were serenaded by a choir of angels.
Organiser and director Annie Spiers said: "It was wonderful. We wanted to do something on Crosby beach because the statues are amazing and the beach is so beautiful."
