‘Fool’ with wise words

CLOWNING around, Canon Pete Spiers played an April fool on his congregation.
The vicar of St Luke’s Church, Crosby, took both his Sunday services dressed as a clown.
Behind the comedy costume was the serious point that sometimes people have to be a fool for Christ and people can often take themselves too seriously.
